Reconstruction of the turbulence radial profile from the reflectometry phase root mean square measurements

چکیده
Simple expressions allowing estimation of the turbulent density perturbation from the reflectometry phase root mean square (r.m.s.) measurements and accounting for the turbulence correlation length are given. The numerical procedure for precise turbulence radial profile reconstruction for different turbulence wave number spectra and both O-mode and X-mode reflectometry is proposed. It is validated using a full-wave 1D modeling of an ordinary (O) mode reflectometry in the case of arbitrary density fluctuation profiles.

Tsunami Lead Wave Reconstruction Based on Noisy Sea Surface Height Measurements
This paper presents a Tsunami lead wave reconstruction method using noisy sea surface height (SSH) measurements such as observed by a satellite-carried GNSS reflectometry (GNSS-R) sensor. It is proposed to utilize wavelet theory to mitigate the strong noise in the GNSS-R based SSH measurements. Through extracting the noise components by high-pass filters at decomposition stage and shrinking the...
متن کاملOngoing work towards real-time reflectometry density profile measurements on ASDEX Upgrade
Previous studies performed in ASDEX Upgrade ELMy H-mode regimes (Santos et al. [2003]), ITER reference scenario, have shown that O-mode FM-CW reflectometry should meet the accuracy required on ITER for using reflectometry for position control purposes. This application, however, requires the development of robust unsupervised methods to evaluate the density profiles in real time. To allow a sta...

The effect of amplitude fluctuations on reflectometer measurements of density turbulence has been investigated through comparison of reflectometry and Langmuir probes on the CCT and DIII-D tokamaks. Power spectra, turbulent radial correlation lengths, and rootmean square magnitude variations (at the H-mode transition) of the homodyne reflectometer signal (given by SRe = E cos(φ), which depends ...

We experimentally investigate the presence of anisotropy from the inertial to the dissipative scales in homogeneous turbulence. We employ an apparatus in which two facing arrays of randomly actuated air jets generate turbulence with negligible mean flow and shear, over a volume several times larger than the energy-containing eddy size. The Reynolds number based on the Taylor microscale is varie...
متن کاملRecurrence rate of radial deviation following the centralization surgery of radial club hand
Background: Congenital radial club hand (RCH), as a rare congenital deformity of the upper extremity, is characterized by a wide spectrum of malformations including radial deviation. Centralization surgery is the standard treatment for severe cases that have been associated with a high rate of recurrence. This study reports the long-term results and recurrence rate of radial deviation following...
