چکیده

-Energy efficiency of the wireless sensor network mainly depends on the Routing protocols. In this paper two hierarchal protocols are used. There are various hierarchal protocols but we will discuss the two protocols i.e. LEACH and PEGASIS. Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) and Power Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information System (PEGASIS). Hierarchal protocol uses the data aggregation clustering. Data aggregation is a process to reduce the duplicity of data transmission. Comparison is to be done between the Leach protocol and Pegasis protocol in terms of energy efficiency using Matlab.

An Adaptive LEACH-based Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

LEACH is the most popular clastering algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). However, it has two main drawbacks, including random selection of cluster heads, and direct communication of cluster heads with the sink. This paper aims to introduce a new centralized cluster-based routing protocol named LEACH-AEC (LEACH with Adaptive Energy Consumption), which guarantees to generate balanced cl...

CBERP: Cluster Based Energy Efficient Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Network

Since all sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks work by their own embedded batteries, if a node runs out of its battery, the sensor network cannot operate normally. In this situation we should employ the routing protocols which can consume the energy of nodes efficiently. Many protocols for energy efficient routing in sensor networks have been suggested but LEACH and PEGASIS are most well kn...

Comparison of LEACH and PEGASIS Hierarchical Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

The efficiency of wireless sensor network largely depends on the routing protocol used. Routing is a major challenge for sensor networks as it presents a trade-off between responsiveness and efficiency. Hierarchical class of routing protocols introduces a structure on the network to achieve stability, energy efficiency and scalability. There are various protocols existing in this category. In t...

An Artificial Bee Colony Inspired Clustering Solution to Prolong Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks

It is very difficult and expensive to replace sensor node battery in wireless sensor network in many critical conditions such as bridge supervising, resource exploration in hostile locations, and wildlife safety, etc. The natural choice in such situations is to maximize network lifetime. One such approach is to divide the sensing area of wireless sensor network into clusters to achieve high ene...
