MASER Navigation in the Milky Way and Intergalatic

چکیده
The traditional celestial navigation system(CNS) is used the moon, stars, and planets as celestial guides. Then the star tracker(i.e. track one star or planet or angle between it) and star sensor(i.e. sense many star simultaneous) be used to determine the attitude of the spacecraft. Pulsar navigation also be introduced to CNS. Maser is another interested celestial in radio astronomy which has strong flux density as spectral line. Now I analysis the principle of maser navigation which base measure Doppler shift frequency spectra and the feasibility that use the exist instrument, and discuss the integrated navigation use maser, then give the perspective in the Milky Way and the intergalatic. After integrated with maser navigation, pulsar navigation and star sensor in CNS and inertial navigation system it not only increase the reliability and redundancy of navigation or guiding system but also can less or abolish the depend of Global Navigation Satellite System which include GPS, GRONSS, Galileo and BeiDou et al. Maser navigation can give the continuous position in deep space, that means we can freedom fly successfully in the Milky Way use celes-

The distribution of maser stars in the inner Milky Way : the effect of a weak , rotating bar
We derive the distribution of maser stars in the inner Milky Way based on an analysis of diagrams of longitude versus line-of-sight-velocity (= lV-diagrams) for two samples of maser stars: 771 OH/IR stars and 363 SiO-maser stars. The stars are all close to the plane of the Milky Way and have longitudes from −45 • to +45 •. The two lV-diagrams are compared qualitatively and found to be very simi...
متن کاملProper Motions in the Andromeda Subgroup
This article presents results of VLBI observations of regions of H2O maser activity in the Local Group galaxies M33 and IC 10. Since all position measurements were made relative to extragalactic background sources, the proper motions of the two galaxies could be measured. For M33, this provides this galaxy’s three dimensional velocity, showing that this galaxy is moving with a velocity of 190 ±...
متن کاملStar-formation masers in the Magellanic Clouds: A multibeam survey with new detections and maser abundance estimates
The results of the first complete survey for 6668-MHz CH3OH and 6035-MHz excitedstate OH masers in the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds are presented. A new 6668-MHz CH3OH maser in the Large Magellanic Cloud has been detected towards the star-forming region N 160a, together with a new 6035-MHz excited-state OH maser detected towards N 157a. We also re-observed the previously known 6668-MHz CH3...
متن کاملWater masers in the Local Group of galaxies
We compare the number of detected 22 GHz H2O masers in the Local Group galaxies M31, M33, NGC 6822, IC 10, IC 1613, DDO 187, GR8, NGC 185, and the Magellanic Clouds with the water maser population of the Milky Way. To accomplish this we searched for water maser emission in the two Local Group galaxies M33 and NGC 6822 using the Very Large Array (VLA) and incorporated results from previous studi...
متن کاملMaser Astrometry with VLBI and the SKA
We discuss the unique opportunities for maser astrometry with the inclusion of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) in Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) networks. The first phase of the SKA will enable observations of hydroxyl and methanol masers, positioning the latter to an accuracy of 5 microarcseconds, and the second phase may allow water maser observations. These observations will provi...
