On the 30th December 1881, Sib Churn Lalla, a sweet-meat vendor employed at the Goalundo Kailway Station, was seen lying on the ground outside the bungalow of one of the residents with a crowd of people around him. He was carried to my house in a semi-insensible state. He was unable to walk or stand. After considerable hesitation he protruded his tongue, but was apparently unable to speak distinctly. His pupils were, if any thing, a little more dilated than usual, and his breathing was rapid and abdominal. The action of the heart was much quickened, and the forehead was bathed in perspiration. The bitten hand felt colder than the other ; the left arm above the elbow had been ligatured with
