چکیده

Testing is a validation activity used to check the system’s correctness with respect to the specification. In this context, test based on refusals is studied in theory and tools are effectively constructed. This paper addresses, a formal testing based on stochastic refusals graphs (SRG) in order to test stochastic system represented by maximality-based stochastic labeled transition systems (MSLTS). First, we propose a framework to generate SRGs from MSLTSs. Second, we present a new technique to generate automatically a canonical tester from stochastic refusal graph and conformance relation confSRG. Finally, implementation is proposed and the application of our approach is shown by an example.

Stochastic Refusal Graph for Testing Non-Deterministic Systems

The test is one of the approaches commonly used for validating systems to ensure qualitative and quantitative implementation requirements. In this paper we are interested in refusals test based for testing stochastic systems. We propose a new kind of refusals graph named stochastic refusals graphs (SRG) for specification in maximality-based stochastic labeled transition systems (MSLTS) model. I...

An Environment for Modeling and Testing Stochastic Systems

This paper addresses a formal testing based on Stochastic Refusals Graphs (SRG) in order to test stochastic systems. As a semantic model for these systems, we chose the MLSTS models. MLSTS (for Maximalitybased Labeled Stochastic Transition System) is a new semantic model for characterizing the stochastic temporal properties of concurrent systems, under the assumption of arbitrarily distributed ...

Equivalences on Observable Processes

The aim of this paper is to find the finest ‘observable’ and ‘implementable’ equivalence on concurrent processes. This is a part of a larger programme to develop a theory of observable processes where semantics of processes are based on locally and finitely observable process behaviour, and all process constructs are allowed, provided their operational meaning is defined by realistically implem...

Testing for Stochastic Non- Linearity in the Rational Expectations Permanent Income Hypothesis

The Rational Expectations Permanent Income Hypothesis implies that consumption follows a martingale. However, most empirical tests have rejected the hypothesis. Those empirical tests are based on linear models. If the data generating process is non-linear, conventional tests may not assess some of the randomness properly. As a result, inference based on conventional tests of linear models can b...

Cross-Cultural Differences and Pragmatic Transfer in English and Persian Refusals

This study aimed to examine cross-cultural differences in performing refusal of requests between Persian native speakers (PNSs) and English native speakers (ENSs) in terms of the frequency of the semantic formulas. Also examined in this study was whether Persian EFL learners would transfer their L1 refusal patterns into the L2, and if there would be a relation between their proficiency level an...
