چکیده
It is proved that for a system of spins σi = ±1 having an interaction energy − ∑ Kijσiσj with all theKij strictly positive, one can construct a dual formulation by associating a dual spin Sijk = ±1 to each triplet of distinct sites i, j and k. The dual interaction energy reads − ∑

Mean Field in Long-Range Ferromagnets and Periodic Boundary Conditions
Periodic boundary conditions are applied to a ferromagnetic spin lattice. A symmetrical lattice and its contributions all over space are being used. Results, for the Ising model with ferromagnetic interaction that decays as a 1/r law, are discussed in the mean field approximation.
متن کاملCorrelation Inequalities and the Decay of Correlations in Ferromagnets*
We prove a variety of new correlation inequalities which bound intermediate distance correlations from below by long distance correlations. Typical is the following which holds for spin 1/2 nearest neighbor Ising ferromagnets:
متن کاملRigorous nonperturbative Ornstein-Zernike theory for Ising ferromagnets
– We rigorously derive the Ornstein-Zernike asymptotics of the pair-correlation functions for finite-range Ising ferromagnets in any dimensions and at any temperature above critical. The celebrated heuristic argument by Ornstein and Zernike [1] implies that the asymptotic form of the truncated two-point density correlation function of simple fluids away from the critical region is given by G(~r...
متن کاملSome Correlation Inequalities for Ising Antiferromagnets
We prove some inequalities for two-point correlations of Ising antiferromagnets and derive inequalities relating correlations of ferromagnets to correlations of antiferromagnets whose interactions and field strengths have equal magnitudes. The proofs are based on the method of duplicate spin variables introduced by J. Percus and used by several authors (Refs. 3-8) to derive correlation inequali...
متن کاملOn the Absence of Ferromagnetism in Typical 2d Ferromagnets
We consider the Ising systems in d dimensions with nearest-neighbor ferromagnetic interactions and long-range repulsive (antiferromagnetic) interactions which decay with a power, s, of the distance. The physical context of such models is discussed; primarily this is d = 2 and s = 3 where, at long distances, genuine magnetic interactions between genuine magnetic dipoles are of this form. We prov...
