Vacuum Fluctuations, Geometric Modular Action and Relativistic Quantum Information Theory

چکیده
A summary of some lines of ideas leading to model-independent frameworks of relativistic quantum field theory is given. It is followed by a discussion of the ReehSchlieder theorem and geometric modular action of Tomita-Takesaki modular objects associated with the quantum field vacuum state and certain algebras of observables. The distillability concept, which is significant in specifying useful entanglement in quantum information theory, is discussed within the setting of general relativistic quantum field

More Ado About Nothing : The Remarkable Relativistic Vacuum State ∗
An overview is given of what mathematical physics can currently say about the vacuum state for relativistic quantum field theories on Minkowski space. Along with a review of classical results such as the Reeh–Schlieder Theorem and its immediate and controversial consequences, more recent results are discussed. These include the nature of vacuum correlations and the degree of entanglement of the...

متن کاملGeometric Modular Action, Wedge Duality and Lorentz Covariance are Equivalent for Generalized Free Fields
The Tomita-Takesaki modular groups and conjugations for the observable algebras of space-like wedges and the vacuum state are computed for translationally covariant, but possibly not Lorentz covariant, generalized free quantum fields in arbitrary space-time dimension d. It is shown that for d ≥ 4 the condition of geometric modular action (CGMA) of Buchholz, Dreyer, Florig and Summers [BDFS], Lo...
متن کاملElectromechanical Performance of NEMS Actuator Fabricated from Nanowire under quantum vacuum fluctuations using GDQ and MVIM
The Casimir attraction can significantly interfere the physical response of nanoactuators. The intensity of the Casimir force depends on the geometries of interacting bodies. The present paper is dedicated to model the influence of the Casimir attraction on the electrostatic stability of nanoactuators made of cylindrical conductive nanowire/nanotube. An asymptotic solution, based on path-integr...
متن کاملRelativistic quantum field inertia and vacuum field noise spectra
The main theme of this survey is the equivalence statements for quantum scalar field vacuum states that have been recognized over the last couple of decades as a powerful line of reasoning when discussing the highly academic thermal-like Hawking effect and Unruh effect. An important ingredient in this framework is the concept of vacuum field noise spectrum by which one can obtain information ab...
