چکیده
In this article, we propose the time discretization of the second order decoupled implicit/explicit method of the 3D primitive equations of the ocean in the case of the Dirichlet boundary conditions on the side. We deduce the second order optimal error estimates on the L and H norms of the time discrete velocity and density and the L norm of the time discrete pressure under the restriction of the time step 0 < τ ≤ β for some positive constant β. Also, we deduce some stability results on the time discrete solution under the same restriction on the time step.

An Adaptive Semi-Implicit Scheme for Simulations of Unsteady Viscous Compressible Flows
A numerical scheme for simulation of unsteady, viscous, compressible flows is considered. The scheme employs an explicit discretization of the inviscid terms of the N avier-Stokes equations and an implicit discretization of the viscous terms. The discretization is second order accurate in both space and time. Under appropriate assumptions, the implicit system of equations can be decoupled into ...

Fractional order partial differential equations are generalizations of classical partial differential equations. Increasingly, these models are used in applications such as fluid flow, finance and others. In this paper we examine some practical numerical methods to solve a class of initial- boundary value fractional partial differential equations with variable coefficients on a finite domain. S...

In this study, a numerical solution of 2D steady incompressible lid-driven cavity flow is presented. Three different numerical schemes were employed to make a comparison on the practicality of the methods. An alternating direction implicit scheme for the vorticity-stream function formulation, explicit and implicit schemes for the primitive variable formulation of governing Navier-Stokes equatio...

Advection-dispersion equation is solved in numerically by using combinations of differential quadrature method (DQM) and various time integration techniques covering some explicit or implicit single and multi step methods. Two different initial boundary value problems modeling conservative and nonconservative transports of some substance represented by initial data are chosen as test problems. ...
