چکیده
Backbround: Urethral metastatic adenocarcinoma is extremely rare. Moreover, only 9 previous cases with metastases from colorectal cancer have been reported to date, and not much information on urethral metastases from colorectum is available so far. Case presentation: We report our experience in the diagnosis and the management of the case with urethral metastasis from a sigmoid colon cancer. A 68-year-old man, who underwent laparoscopic sigmoidectomy for sigmoid colon carcinoma four years ago, presented gross hematuria with pain. Urethroscopy identified a papillo-nodular tumor 7mm in diameter in the bulbar urethra. CT-scan imaging revealed the small mass of bulbous portion of urethra and solitary lung metastasis. Histological examination of the tumor obtained by transurethral resection showed moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, which was diagnosed as a metastasis of a sigmoid colon carcinoma pathologically by morphological examination. Immunohistochemical analysis of the urethral tumor revealed the positive for cytokertin 20 and CDX2, whereas negative for cytokertin 7. These features were consistent with metastatic adenocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon cancer. As the management of this case with

متن کاملMetastatic Renal cell Carcinoma Presenting as a clear-cell Tumor in Tongue: A Case Report
Introduction: Metastatic lesions of the oral cavity are extremely rare, accounting for approximately 1% of all malignant oral tumors. The most common primary sources of metastatic tumors in the oral region are, from the most to the least common, the breast, lung, kidney, bone, and colon. Renal cell carcinoma accounts for nearly 3% of all adult malignancies. It usually metastasizes to the lungs,...
متن کاملSarcomatoid Carcinoma of Renal Pelvis Involving Ureter and Renal Parenchyma with Heterologous Osteosarcomatous Differentiation: A Case Report and Review of Literature
Sarcomatoid carcinoma is a high‑grade rare malignant tumor with both epithelial and mesenchymal components. Sarcomatoid carcinoma in the upper urinary tract is very rare. We reported here a case of sarcomatoid carcinoma of renal pelvis with osteosarcomatous differentiation, with involvement of the ureter and renal parenchyma in a 68-year-old female. Histologically, predominant pleomorphic spind...
متن کاملEpithelial-Myoepithelial Carcinoma of the Palate: Report of a Case and Review of the Literatures
Epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMC) is considered as a rare malignant salivary gland neoplasm with good prognosis, low recurrence rate and rare metastasis. Here we present a case of epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma in a 42-year-old female with a swelling of 3-year duration in her palate. Histopathologic evaluation of the lesion demonstrated a well-circumscribed, biphasic salivary gland t...
متن کاملAn Unusual Case of Metastatatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Presenting as Melena and Duodenal Ulcer, 16 Years After Nephrectomy; a Case Report and Review of the Literature
Renal cell carcinoma comprises about 2% of adult tumors. The overall 10-year survival rate of patients with RCC after nephrectomy is about 18-27%. The incidence of metastasis of initial RCC is about 24-28%, but this rate after nephrectomy is as high as 51%. The most common site of recurrence is the lung, however liver and bone metastases are common. There are many reported cases with late metast...
