چکیده

A system with several queues is considered. Each queue has a server with exponential servicetime with same service rate. Normal customers arrive at the system and choose which queue to join. Theyare supposed to join the shortest queue. Special customers also arrive at the system though the arrivals arerare. They can also choose which queue to join and they have other options, waiting in the room for themand leaving the system. This paper deals with the optimal policy of the special customers. It is shown thatthe optimal policy has monotone properties.

Cumulative Fatigue Damage Under stepwise Tension-Compression Loading

Rock structures are subjected to cyclic tension-compression loading due to a blasting, earthquake, traffic and injection-production in underground storage case. Therefore study the fatigue behavior of rock samples under this type of loading is required. In this study, the accumulated fatigue damage for a Green Onyx rock sample which consisted of only one mineral composition with two-step high-l...

FINITE ELEMENT PREDICTION OF DUCTILE FRACTURE IN AUTOMOTIVE PANEL FORMING: COMPARISON BETWEEN FLD AND LEMAITRE DAMAGE MODELS

In sheet metal forming processes with complex strain paths, a part is subjected to large plastic deformation. This severe plastic deformation leads to high plastic strain localization zones and subsequent accumulation of those strains. Then internal and superficial micro-defects and in other words ductile damage is created. This damage causes quality problems such as fracture. Therefore, design...

Performance Comparison Between a Statistical Models a Deterministic Model, and an Artificial Neural Network Model for Predicting Damage From Pitting Corrosion

Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA 16802 Various attempts have been made (o develop models for predicting the development of damage in metals and alloys due to pitting corrosion. These muOcIs may be divided into two cliu.ses: the cmpirieiil approach which employ.s extreme value statistics, and the deterministic approach based on perceived mechanisms for nuclcation and growth of ...

Three Kinds of Replacement Models Combined with Additive and Independent Damages

Abstract In some practical situations, most systems would fail roughly with time by both causes of additive and independent damages. From such viewpoints, this paper considers three combined replacement policies with two kinds of damages: The unit is replaced at a planned time or when the total additive damage exceeds a failure level, whichever occurs first, and undergoes minimal repair when in...

Frequency Domain Model Simplification of Cumulative Mass Fraction in CMSMPR Crystallizer

In this contribution, linearized dynamic model of Cumulative Mass Fraction (CMF) of Potassium Nitrate-Water Seeded Continues Mixed Suspension Mixed Product Removal (CMSMPR) crystallizer is approximated by a simplified model in frequency domain. Frequency domain model simplification is performed heuristically using the frequency response of the derived linearized models data. However, the CM...

Modeling Multiple–Vehicle Property Damage Collisions in Urban Signalized Intersections

Development of disaggregate models for estimating different property damage collision type frequencies in urban intersections has rarely been studied, particularly in Iran. It seems very little research work being implemented for studying the effect factors on collision type frequency at intersections. The main objective of this paper is to develop suitable statistical models to predict types o...
