چکیده
287 A TRIBUTE TO MICHEL G BERGERON Dr Michel G Bergeron founded, more than 40 years ago, the Infectious Diseases Research Center (IDRC) in Quebec City, Quebec, and has been director since then. He has now decided to pass the torch as director, but will remain a researcher at the IDRC. As a way to express their sincere gratitude toward all that Dr Bergeron has achieved throughout the years, some of his closest collaborators have written a tribute to their colleague, mentor and friend. Managing Understory Vegetation for Maintaining Productivity in Black Spruce Forests: A Synthesis within a Multi-Scale Research Model
Sustainable management of boreal ecosystems involves the establishment of vigorous tree regeneration after harvest. However, two groups of understory plants influence regeneration success in eastern boreal Canada. Ericaceous shrubs are recognized to rapidly dominate susceptible boreal sites after harvest. Such dominance reduces OPEN ACCESS

The Romboutsia maritimum sp. nov. CCRI-22766T strain was isolated from coastal estuarine mud in New Zealand. The genome assembly comprised 2,854,352 bp, with 27.1% G+C content. This is the first documentation that reports the genome sequence of R. maritimum.
متن کامل3'-minor groove binder-DNA probes increase sequence specificity at PCR extension temperatures.
DNA probes with conjugated minor groove binder (MGB) groups form extremely stable duplexes with single-stranded DNA targets, allowing shorter probes to be used for hybridization based assays. In this paper, sequence specificity of 3'-MGB probes was explored. In comparison with unmodified DNA, MGB probes had higher melting temperature (T(m)) and increased specificity, especially when a mismatch ...
