Anti-SLA (haploid sperm cell-specific antigen) antibody, clone TRA54
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Many transcripts for proteins specifically expressed in haploid germ cells are synthesized in the spermatogenesis. A monoclonal antibody TRA54 recognizes specific organelles in germ cell cytoplasm from spermatocytes to spermatids (1, 2). Western blots using TRA54 revealed broad bands with 85 kD, 190 kD and >200 kDa in testis probably due to alternative splicing and/or post-translational modification (Fig. 1). The molecular size diversity is due to the difference in glycosilation (Ref. 1). This antibody can be used for immunohistochemical staining of testicular tissues (1, 3). The hybridoma producing TRA54 was obtained from the immunaization of a rat with cell lysates of adult mouse testes by the group of Prof. Yoshitake Nishimune of Osaka University.

Intercellular organelle traffic through cytoplasmic bridges in early spermatids of the rat: mechanisms of haploid gene product sharing.
Stable cytoplasmic bridges (or ring canals) connecting the clone of spermatids are assumed to facilitate the sharing of haploid gene products and synchronous development of the cells. We have visualized these cytoplasmic bridges under phase-contrast optics and recorded the sharing of cytoplasmic material between the spermatids by a digital time-lapse imaging system ex vivo. A multitude of small...

Background: Human CD34 is a transmembrane glycoprotein which is expressed in human hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and the small- vessel endothelial cells of a variety of tissues. CD34 plays a critical role as a marker for diagnosis and classification of leukemia. Anti CD34 antibodies are used for isolation and purification of HSCs from bone marrow, peripheral blood and cord blood. Objective: ...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Recombinant Cell-Based Indirect Immunofluorescence Assay for the Determination of Autoantibodies against Soluble Liver Antigen in Autoimmune Hepatitis
Autoantibodies against soluble liver antigen (SLA) are specific markers for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) type 1. In contrast to the determination of other AIH-associated autoantibodies by indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA), detection of anti-SLA relied up to now on ELISA or immunoblot based on bacterially expressed recombinant protein. In order to develop a complementary IFA substrate, SLA i...
