The Rule of Rumor Dissemination on tweets: How to Distinguish Rumors and News

The purpose of this study is to find the difference of the information diffusion between the news and rumors in the social media network. We use the tweets from South American, and analyze the social medial network and the information propagation property based on the false rumors and real confirmed news. Our result shows that the social media network of the false rumor has some unique features. Besides, we also provide the sentiment analysis of the tweets, and our sentiment analysis results suggest that rumors are more easily questioned than the real news in the social media network.
