چکیده

Many researchers have attempted to develop numerical methods for solving FSI problems with improved accuracy, problem scale, stability, robustness, and efficiency (for example, Mittal S and Tezduyar T E, 1992; Farhat C and Lessoine M, 2000; Ohayon R, 2001; Basilevs et al., 2013). Those previous studies have made significant progress, but there are still strong demands for further researches on shortening computation time, increasing the degrees of freedom (DOFs) of models and dealing with a variety of phenomena in a generalized manner in order to solve real world’s coupled problems of complex machines and structures. Thus we have been developing an efficient and robust simulation system to solve a variety of large-scale coupled problems in parallel computing environments (Kataoka et al., 2014; Yoshimura et al., 2015a; Yamada et al., Accepted).

XpressSpace: a programming framework for coupling partitioned global address space simulation codes

Complex coupled multiphysics simulations are playing increasingly important roles in scientific and engineering applications such as fusion, combustion, and climate modeling. At the same time, extreme scales, increased levels of concurrency, and the advent of multicores are making programming of high-end parallel computing systems on which these simulations run challenging. Although partitioned...

Robust Quasi-Newton Methods for Partitioned Fluid-Structure Simulations

In recent years, quasi-Newton schemes have proven to be a robust and efficient way for the coupling of partitioned multi-physics simulations in particular for fluid-structure interaction. The focus of this work is put on the coupling of partitioned fluid-structure interaction, where minimal interface requirements are assumed for the respective field solvers, thus treated as black box solvers. T...

Using AMG to Accelerate Finite Differences by GPUs in Electromagnetic/Thermal Field Simulations

The simulation of coupled electromagnetic-/thermalproblems with high resolution requires efficient numerical schemes. High performance computing languages like CUDA help unlocking the massively parallel capabilities of graphics processor units (GPUs) to accelerate calculations. This reduces the time needed to solve real world problems. In this paper, the speedup is discussed, which is obtained ...

Implementation of the direction of arrival estimation algorithms by means of GPU-parallel processing in the Kuda environment (Research Article)

Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of audio signals is critical in different areas, including electronic war, sonar, etc. The beamforming methods like Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR), Delay-and-Sum (DAS), and subspace-based Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) are the most known DOA estimation techniques. The mentioned methods have high computational complexity. Hence using...
