Phenomenology of next-leading BFKL

چکیده

We propose a phenomenological study of the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) approach applied to the data on the proton structure function F2 measured at HERA in the small-xBj region (xBj < 0.01) and Q 2 in the range 5 to 120 GeV. With a simplified “effective kernel” approximation, we present a comparison between leading-logs (LO) and nextto-leading logs (NLO) BFKL approaches in the saddle-point approximation, using known resummed NLO-BFKL kernels. The LO result gives a very good description of the data with a three parameters fit of F2 but an unphysical value of the strong coupling constant, whereas the NLO two parameters fit leads to a qualitatively satisfactory account of the running coupling constant effect but quantitatively, for Q < 10 GeV, it fails to reproduce properly the data.

Rapidity-Separation Dependence and the Large Next-to-Leading Corrections to the BFKL Equation

Recent concerns about the very large next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) corrections to the BFKL equation are addressed by the introduction of a physical rapidity-separation parameter ∆. At the leading logarithm (LL) this parameter enforces the constraint that successive emitted gluons have a minimum separation in rapidity, yi+1− yi > ∆. The most significant effect is to reduce the BFKL Pomeron i...

BFKL NLL phenomenology of forward jets at HERA and Mueller Navelet jets at the Tevatron and the LHC

Figure 1: Comparison between the H1 dσ/dx measurement with predictions for BFKL-LL, BFKL-NLL and DGLAP NLO calculations (see text). S4 and LL BFKL cannot be distinguished on that figure. Following the successful BFKL [2] parametrisation of the forward-jet cross-section dσ/dx at Leading Order (LO) at HERA [3, 4], it is possible to perform a similar study using Next-to-leading (NLL) resummed BFKL...

Electroproduction of two light vector mesons in next - to - leading BFKL ∗

We calculate the amplitude for the forward electroproduction of two light vector mesons in next-to-leading order BFKL. This amplitude represents the first next-to-leading order amplitude ever calculated for a collision process between strongly interacting colorless particles.

I discuss radiative corrections to the BFKL equation for high energy cross sections in perturbative QCD. Due to the gluon Reggeization in the next-to-leading ln s approximation, the form of the BFKL equation remains unchanged and the corrections to the BFKL kernel are expressed in terms of the two-loop contribution to the gluon Regge trajectory, the one-loop correction to the Reggeon-Reggeon-gl...

Next-to-leading Bfkl ∗

The representation of the total cross section at high energy √ s in the next-to-leading ln s approximation is given with definition of the impact factors and explicit expression for the BFKL kernel. The estimate of the Pomeron intercept and the next-to-leading contributions to anomalous dimensions near j = 1 are presented.
