Looking for Women in Computer Science: An Austrian Perspective

This paper shows the development of women studies in computer science carried out in Austria. The studies include mainly three topics: education of women in computer science, questions of genderrelated approaches to information technologies and work styles of female computer scientists, and women as users of information technology in several work environments. Furthermore the relation between natural and social sciences are stressed to discuss the problems and possibilities in theories and methods applied in gender studies.
