چکیده

CRT white point, adapted white point, chromatic adaptation, viewing condition, monitor characterization, psychophysics, neutral point, mixed mode illumination, incomplete adaptation An iterative psychophysical algorithm is designed and implemented to determine the adapted white point for cathode ray tubes (CRTs) in a given viewing condition. This algorithm can accurately determine the chromatic adaptation point of mixed mode lighting environments. The accuracy of the algorithm has been empirically verified. A detailed description of the algorithm, type of experiment for which this algorithm has been used for, and the empirical results of its application are presented here. Some further usage of such an algorithm is also discussed.

A Glance at Psychophysics Software Programs

Visual stimulation with precise control of stimulus has transformed the field of psychophysics since the introduction of personal computers. Luminance and chromatic features of stimulus, timing, and position of the stimulus are the main features that could be defined using programs written specifically for psychophysical experiments. In this manuscript, software used for the psychophysical expe...

Psychophysical chromatic mechanisms in macaque monkey.

Chromatic mechanisms have been studied extensively with psychophysical techniques in humans, but the number and nature of the mechanisms are still controversial. Appeals to monkey neurophysiology are often used to sort out the competing claims and to test hypotheses arising from the experiments in humans, but psychophysical chromatic mechanisms have never been assessed in monkeys. Here we addre...

Munsell Color Science Laboratory Newsletter Winter 1994 Testing Chromatic - Adaptation

Testing Chromatic-Adaptation Models Under the guidance of Mark D. Fairchild, MCSL has been conducting a series of experiments to test the effectiveness of chromatic adaptation and color appearance models in many situations. For my Color Science M.S. thesis, I have focused on testing chromatic adaptation models with simple field, printed object colors. I examined the performance of the CIELAB, ...

Chromatic Harmonic Indices and Chromatic Harmonic Polynomials of Certain Graphs

In the main this paper introduces the concept of chromatic harmonic polynomials denoted, $H^chi(G,x)$ and chromatic harmonic indices denoted, $H^chi(G)$ of a graph $G$. The new concept is then applied to finding explicit formula for the minimum (maximum) chromatic harmonic polynomials and the minimum (maximum) chromatic harmonic index of certain graphs. It is also applied to split graphs and ce...

Cone selective adaptation influences L- and M-cone driven signals in electroretinography and psychophysics.

To assess the influence of selective adaptation of long (L) and middle (M) wavelength sensitive cones with electroretinography (ERG) and psychophysics, a novel adaptation procedure was developed, which comprises a selective and quantifiable change in the state of adaptation in the different cone types. One adaptation condition was used as a reference. In four additional conditions, the M-cones ...
