Two Bessel Bridges Conditioned Never to Collide, Double Dirichlet Series, and Jacobi Theta Function

چکیده
It is known that the moments of the maximum value of a one-dimensional conditional Brownian motion, the three-dimensional Bessel bridge with duration 1 started from the origin, are expressed using the Riemann zeta function. We consider a system of two Bessel bridges, in which noncolliding condition is imposed. We show that the moments of the maximum value is then expressed using the double Dirichlet series, or using the integrals of products of the Jacobi theta functions and its derivatives. Since the present system will be provided as a diffusion scaling limit of a version of vicious walker model, the ensemble of 2-watermelons with a wall, the dominant terms in long-time asymptotics of moments of height of 2-watermelons are completely determined, for which only the first moment, i.e. the average height, was recently studied by Fulmek by a method of enumerative combinatorics.

Maximum Distributions of Noncolliding Bessel Bridges
The one-dimensional Brownian motion starting from the origin at time t = 0, conditioned to return to the origin at time t = 1 and to stay positive during time interval 0 < t < 1, is called the Bessel bridge with duration 1. We consider theN -particle system of such Bessel bridges conditioned never to collide with each other in 0 < t < 1, which is the continuum limit of the vicious walk model in...
متن کاملProbability laws related to the Jacobi theta and Riemann zeta functions, and Brownian excursions
This paper reviews known results which connect Riemann's integral representations of his zeta function, involving Jacobi's theta function and its derivatives, to some particular probability laws governing sums of independent exponential variables. These laws are related to one-dimensional Brownian motion and to higher dimensional Bessel processes. We present some characterizations of these prob...

متن کاملRelative order and type of entire functions represented by Banach valued Dirichlet series in two variables
In this paper, we introduce the idea of relative order and type of entire functions represented by Banach valued Dirichlet series of two complex variables to generalize some earlier results. Proving some preliminary theorems on the relative order, we obtain sum and product theorems and we show that the relative order of an entire function represented by Dirichlet series is the same as that of i...
متن کاملThe coefficients of differentiated expansions of double and triple Jacobi polynomials
Formulae expressing explicitly the coefficients of an expansion of double Jacobi polynomials which has been partially differentiated an arbitrary number of times with respect to its variables in terms of the coefficients of the original expansion are stated and proved. Extension to expansion of triple Jacobi polynomials is given. The results for the special cases of double and triple ultraspher...
