Search for Cp Violation in Tau Decays

The results of the searches for CP non-conservation in the decays of τ leptons are presented. No evidence of violation of CP symmetry is observed neither in CLEO nor in BELLE data. Interpretation of these results is done within the framework of a model with a scalar boson exchange. Limits on the imaginary part of the coupling constant Λ, parameterizing the relative contribution of diagrams that would lead to CP violation, are −0.046 < ℑ(Λ) < 0.022 at 90% C.L. and |ℑ(Λ)| < 1.7 at 90% C.L. in τ → ππ 0 ντ and τ → Kπ 0 ντ modes, respectively.
