Research and Strategy to Inform the Design of Interactive Whiteboard Interfaces for Teachers

چکیده

1 ABSTRACT There was great interest in the use of interactive whiteboards when they first began appearing in schools in the early 2000’s. However, many schools that have access to the boards have not been able to successfully integrate them into the curriculum, resulting in an underutilization of the technology. In this paper, we describe the process and results of a year long study of teachers and their use of interactive whiteboards. Strategies for integrating the boards as well as recommendations for designing interactive whiteboard software specifically for elementary school teachers and students are proposed.
