چکیده

Abstract Simulations that depend on interactions between the particles that make up the system are common in in cosmology, molecular dynamics, and computer graphics. When every particle in a system with N particles exercises a force on the other particles in the system, the problems is called N-Body. The naive solution computes forces between each pair of particles (N2 force computations). This is expensive and does not scale up to large systems. A variety of ways have been developed to solve Nbody problems in an efficient and scalable way, leading to O(N log N) or even O(N) time complexity. We present a pattern language for solving N-Body problems that is based on the physical geometry and distribution of the particles.

Stress Pattern System in Central Sarawani Balochi

The present article investigates the stress pattern system of Central Sarawani Balochi (CSB), spoken in Sarawan located in Sistan and Baluchestan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on metrical theory as developed in Hayes (1995). Correspondingly, the present research illustrates the position of primary and secondary stress in mono-morphemic words, verbal paradigms, compound words, ...

Explanation of affecting factors on Perceptual organization pattern of district 1 of contemporary Tehran based on pattern language theory

District 1 of Tehran had experienced many changes during past few decades and much of these changes, had included few tangible matters, and never considered public’s concept of urban system pattern. The present study, tried to explain pattern language system of district 1 of Tehran, based Christopher Alexander’s theory of pattern language and adapt this theory to public’s concepts. This purpose...

Lecture notes on Knowledge - Based and Learning Systems by Maciej Lískiewicz Lecture 3 : Learning in the Limit II 1 The Pattern Languages

Patterns are a very natural way to define formal languages. Suppose you are interested in the language of all strings over the alphabet A = {0, 1} starting with 11 , ending with 010 , and containing the substring 01011 somewhere, but may be otherwise arbitrary. Thus, all strings in your language follow the pattern π1 = 11x001011x1010 , provided you are willing to allow the variables x0, x1 to b...

The role of language, appearance, and culture in children's social category-based induction.

Four studies examined whether Israeli 5-year-olds (N = 88) and adults (N = 48) drew inferences about psychological properties based on a character's social category, personality trait, or physical appearance trait. Study 1 revealed that while children drew inferences mostly by social category, adults did it by personality trait. Study 2 showed that the children's pattern was not due to how the ...

Learning One - Variable Pattern Languages

A pattern is a string of constant and variable symbols. The language generated by a pattern is the set of all strings of constant symbols which can be obtained from by substituting non-empty strings for variables. We study the learnability of one-variable pattern languages in the limit with respect to the update time needed for computing a new single guess and the expected total learning time t...
