چکیده
The aim of this investigation was to elucidate the rapid synthesis of monogalactosyl mono glycerides and their role as intermediary acyl-acceptors in galactolipid synthesis of spinach chlo roplasts. The problem was attacked by studying the incorporation of sn-[1 4C]glycerol-3-phosphate and [l14C]acetate into the lipid fraction of gently shocked and reconstituted preparations. The data revealed:

Study of the Physicochemical and Rheological Behaviors of Hybrid Oleogels Based on Monoacylglycerol and Carboxymethyl Cellulose
Background and Objectives: Due to the hydrophilic nature of cellulose derivatives which are widely used in food industries, special methods should be used to dissolve these compounds in oil. In this study, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) was used to increase strength of monoacylglycerol (MAGs) gels. In the present study, simultaneous effects of MAG and CMC on the production of hybrid oleogels were...

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the context of lipid metabolism research in physical activity, lipolysis, lipolysis hormone regulation and the fate of lipolysis products in exercise, fatty acid transporters, some genes involved in lipid metabolism, effect of resistance activity on lipolysis, adaptations of adipose tissue due to physical activity, lipoproteins and apoproteins...
متن کاملChanges in Biochemical Parameters Related to Lipid Metabolism Following Lithium Treatment in Rat
Lithium is widely used in medicine as an anti-depressive drug. In spite of abundant literature, questions on the side effects of lithium ions are far from being answered. In this study, the effects of lithium on biochemical parameters related to lipid metabolism were investigated. Male Wistar rats were treated with different doses of lithium for a period of up to 60 days. Blood samples were col...
متن کاملMonoacylglycerol Lipases Act as Evolutionarily Conserved Regulators of Non-oxidative Ethanol Metabolism*
Fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEEs) are non-oxidative metabolites of ethanol that accumulate in human tissues upon ethanol intake. Although FAEEs are considered as toxic metabolites causing cellular dysfunction and tissue damage, the enzymology of FAEE metabolism remains poorly understood. In this study, we used a biochemical screen in Saccharomyces cerevisiae to identify and characterize putative ...

Ceramide as a second messenger is a key regulator in apoptosis and cytotoxicity. Ceramide-metabolizing enzymes are ideal target in cancer chemo-preventive studies. Neutral sphingomyelinase (NSMase), acid ceramidase (ACDase) and glucosyl ceramide synthase (GCS) are the main enzymes in ceramide metabolism. Silymarin flavonolignans are potent apoptosis inducers and silibinin is the most active com...
