چکیده
In this paper we introduce some basic differential models for the description of blood flow in the circulatory system. We comment on their mathematical properties, their meaningfulness and their limitation to yield realistic and accurate numerical simulations, and their contribution for a better understanding of cardiovascular physio-pathology. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000). 92C50,96C10,76Z05,74F10,65N30,65M60.

Evaluation of the nutritional effects of fasting on cardiovascular diseases, using fuzzy data mining
Background: Advances in information technology and data collection methods have enabled high-speed collection and storage of huge amounts of data. Data mining can be used to derive laws from large data volumes and their characteristics. Similarly, fuzzy logic by facilitating the understanding of events is considered a suitable complement to scientific data mining. Materials and Methods: The pre...

متن کاملMathematical Modelling of the Cardiovascular System
In this paper we will address the problem of developing mathematical models for the numerical simulation of the human circulatory system. In particular, we will focus our attention on the problem of haemodynamics in large human arteries. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 93A30, 35Q30, 74F10, 65N30.
متن کاملShape Optimization of an Arterial Bypass in Cardiovascular Systems
A high performance numerical technique in the study of aorto-coronaric bypass anastomoses configurations using steady Stokes equations is presented. The problem is first expressed as an optimal control problem. Then, by using an embedding method, the class of admissible shapes is replaced by a class of positive Borel measures. The optimization problem in measure space is then approximated by ...
متن کاملAnalytical and numerical study of a coupled cardiovascular drug delivery model
A two dimensional coupled model of drug delivery in the cardiovascular tissue using biodegradable drug eluting stents is developed. Qualitative behavior, stability analysis as well as simulations of the model have been presented. Numerical results computed with an Implicit Explicit Finite Element Method show a complete agreement with the expected physical behaviour.
