Dr. Harry Campbell is one of the most attractive and readable authors whom \ye know, and this little volume is altogether admirable. In it is garnered together the accumulated wisdom of many years of medical practice, of teaching students, and of experience. If Osier's " Aequanimitas " is?as it deserves to be?a classic, this volume is a worthy second; for it deals with the physician and patient in their every individual and professional aspect. Did space but permit, we should like to quote from it wholesale. The subjects dealt with cover so wide and varied a range, however, that this is almost impossible.
