Design of Archimedean and Logarithmic Spiral K-Space Trajectories

چکیده
Purpose Spiral k-space trajectories allow for rapid data acquisition, leading to reduced motion artifacts, and facilitating the imaging of dynamic objects. The spiral trajectory is effective in coronary artery imaging (1). Either numerical (2) or approximate analytic (3) methods were used to calculate the sampling of the trajectory. Improved performance was observed with variable density spirals (4).

Parametric analysis of a broadband Archimedean spiral antenna with cavity
In this article an Archimedean spiral antenna is designed and analyzed that has good operation in broadband application. By analyzing this design, the effects that different parameters have on antenna operation will be studied and ways of optimization will be found. Influences of cavity height and number of turns to obtain good matching and gain in a frequency interval of 4 to 18 GHz will be d...
متن کاملFixed Point Theorems for Single Valued Mappings Satisfying the Ordered non-Expansive Conditions on Ultrametric and Non-Archimedean Normed Spaces
In this paper, some fixed point theorems for nonexpansive mappings in partially ordered spherically complete ultrametric spaces are proved. In addition, we investigate the existence of fixed points for nonexpansive mappings in partially ordered non-Archimedean normed spaces. Finally, we give some examples to discuss the assumptions and support our results.

T2*-weighted Blood Oxygen Level Dependent (BOLD) functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) requires efficient acquisition methods in order to fully sample the brain in a several second time period. The most widely used approach is Echo Planar Imaging (EPI), which utilizes a Cartesian trajectory to cover k-space. This trajectory is subject to ghosts from off-resonance and gradient imperfectio...
متن کاملVariable density spiral fMRI
Introduction: In the original variable-density (VD) spiral trajectory[1], the sampling density varies throughout the k-space trajectory; i.e., k(τ) = λτe , where the parameter α controls the rate of density variation. Here, we propose a k-space trajectory consisting of an Archimedean spiral[2] from the origin out to a given radius k1, and extending beyond k1 with a variable-density spiral of α>...
متن کاملModel for line defects in complex-oscillatory spiral waves.
Spiral waves in period-doubled and other complex-oscillatory media possess line defects across which the phase of the oscillation changes by multiples of 2pi. For such systems, the concept of a splay state, introduced for coupled oscillator systems, is generalized to an Archimedean spiral splay field. In this splay field a spiral wave in a two dimensional space is considered to be a special spl...
