High efficiencies, low noise, and suppression of photochrome effects in bleached silver halide holography.

چکیده
Interest in bleached photographic gratins and holograms arose as early as 1965.” Several theoretical investigations of photographically generated gratings showed that greatly improved efficiencies could be obtained by elimination of the absorption and reflection inherent in a silver imngc.a*Y This information stimu lated interest in improving diffraction efficiencies by bleaching processes, with reports indicating varying degrees of success. Nearly all investigators report the tendency of bleached silver emulsions to darken or discolor on further exposure to light.10 In addition it has proved difficult to attain high diffraction efficiencies with films.

Noise gratings in bleached silver halide diffuse-object holograms.
Noise gratings in diffuse-object holograms recorded as volume phase holograms in bleached silver halide emulsion are experimentally analyzed. Measurements of the diffraction efficiency and the noise of the holograms are taken. The experimental results obtained show that there is a drop not only in the diffraction efficiency but also in the noise that is due to the presence of noise gratings.
متن کاملNew recording materials for holography
Some of the alternative silver halide materials that can be considered to replace the previous Agfa Holotest materials are discussed. The characteristics of Slavich and HRT materials are examined, including the special aspects of recording and processing ultrahigh-resolution silver halide materials. These materials can offer a significant improvement in product quality. The sensitivity is lower...
متن کاملSilver Halide Materials
Silver Halide is the most common holographic material currently used by everyone from hobbyists to professional scientists. This is because of its high sensitivity and the fact that it’s easily available commercially. Silver Halide is a salt of Silver and a Halide, which are a group of elements that include Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine, which are light sensitive. The first, accidental...
متن کاملDiffuse-object holograms in silver halide emulsions: influence of the beam ratio on the efficiency and the signal-to-noise ratio.
The influence of the beam ratio between reference and object beam intensities on the characteristics of diffuse-object holograms recorded as volume phase holograms in bleached silver halide emulsion is experimentally analyzed. Measurements of the diffraction efficiency and the signal-to-noise ratio of the holograms are taken. The experimental results presented show that when the beam ratio incr...
