چکیده

Abstract: Anion recognition and sensing is one of the most emerging areas in supramolecular chemistry. Because of the adverse effect of some anions on health, this area is gaining considerable interest to the scientific community. In particular, dinuclearmetal complexes with two metal centers in macrocycles make are versatile systems for anion sensing through. The two metal centers in a macrocycle from strong and reversible bonds with anions. This class of receptors is not only effective for anion binding but also capable of displaying visual colour change upon complexation. During this study, a new thiophene-based dinuclear copper macrocycle has been synthesized and studies spectroscopically. The details of anion binding studies of the receptors will be presented in the poster.

Synthesis and Fluorescence Studies of a Thiophene-based Azamacrocycle

Abstract: Anions are ubiquitous in nature and play significant roles in both chemistry and biology. Therefore, anion sensing has become an important area of research in recent years. Although several classes of anion sensors are known in the literature, polyamines are still considered are effective systems to bind anions strongly. During this research work, a thiophene-based azamacrocycle has b...

Sensing Activity of a New Generation of Thiourea-based Receptors; A Theoretical Study on the Anion Sensing

A theoretical density functional theory (DFT) study was performed on a series of the neutral N-phenylthiourea substituents (p-OC2H5, p-CH3, m-CH3, H, p-Cl, p-Br, m-Cl, and p-NO2) as the sensor of acetate and fluoride anions. The hydrogen bond character was analyzed as a scale ...

Discriminate sensing of pyrophosphate using a new tripodal tetramine-based dinuclear Zn(II) complex under an indicator displacement assay approach.

In this research, the dinuclear Zn(ii) complex of anthracene based tripodal tetramine Zn2L was synthesized, and its sensing abilities towards anions was investigated using the indicator displacement assay (IDA) approach with four complexometric indicators: pyrocatechol violet (PV), bromopyrogallol red (BPG), methylthymol blue (MTB) and xylenol orange (XO). UV-vis spectrophotometry results indic...

Encapsulation and selective recognition of sulfate anion in an azamacrocycle in water.

Structural characterization of a sulfate complex with an azamacrocycle suggests that one sulfate is encapsulated in the macrocyclic cavity with eight hydrogen bonds; a significant selectivity of the host was observed for sulfate over halides, nitrate and perchlorate as evaluated by (1)H NMR studies in water.
