A 3D Dynamic Visualization Surveillance System

We present a 3D dynamic visualization surveillance system based on wide-area PTZ surveillance cameras. In our system, PTZ cameras are used to generate 3D site model automatically. By using the 3D spatial information, pedestrians can be identified their spatial positions by a single PTZ camera when they come into its view. Furthermore, based on the spatial position coordinates, the pedestrians detected from real-time surveillance video can be not only projected onto 3D site model, but also tracked by multiple cameras from different directions with different magnifications.
