Facade Detail from Incomplete Range Data
نویسنده
چکیده
In recent years, the demand for highly detailed building models has clearly risen. Most of the details, which characterize a building, come from its façade. It is obvious that such façade detail is ideally acquired from ground-based sensors. For any street-level data acquisition system, a common problem arises: that of occlusions and hence incomplete data. In the past we have shown how multiimage coverage can overcome occlusions in image based façade recording. In this paper, we demonstrate new approaches on façade detail from range data in the case of incomplete data. The approach builds on our development of LASERMAPs, a simple and efficient way to use street-level LiDAR data to enhance existing prismatic building models.

Combined Knowledge Propagation for Facade Reconstruction
Frequently, algorithms for 3D facade reconstruction extract high resolution building geometry like windows, doors and protrusions from terrestrial LiDAR and image data. However, such a bottom-up modelling of facade structures is only feasible if the observed data meets considerable requirements on the amount of detail and coverage. For this reason, within our work, the explicit reconstruction o...
متن کاملView-Dependent Realtime Rendering of Procedural Facades with High Geometric Detail
We present an algorithm for realtime rendering of large-scale city models with procedurally generated facades. By using highly detailed assets like windows, doors, and decoration such city models can provide an extremely high geometric level of detail but on the downside they also consist of billions of polygons which makes it infeasible to even store them as explicit polygonal meshes. Moreover...
متن کاملOrtho-rectified Facade Image by Fusion of 3d Laser Data and Optical Images
Obtaining three-dimensional models of urban scenes from sensor data is a challenging topic. The construction of 3D city models requires fusion of data coming from different sensors, such as laser scanners and cameras. At a first phase, we will process building facades, which will be considered as textured 3D planes. The acquisition system is equipped with two laser scanners and many (twelve) ca...
متن کاملWrapper Facade A Structural Pattern for Encapsulating Functions within Classes
This paper describes the Wrapper Facade pattern. The intent of this pattern is to encapsulate low-level functions and data structures with object-oriented (OO) class interfaces. Common examples of the Wrapper Facade pattern are class libraries like MFC, ACE, and AWT that encapsulate native OS C APIs, such as sockets, pthreads, or GUI functions. Programming directly to native OS C APIs makes net...
متن کاملTerrestrial and Aerial Laser Scanning Data Integration Using Wavelet Analysis for the Purpose of 3D Building Modeling
Visualization techniques have been greatly developed in the past few years. Three-dimensional models based on satellite and aerial imagery are now being enhanced by models generated using Aerial Laser Scanning (ALS) data. The most modern of such scanning systems have the ability to acquire over 50 points per square meter and to register a multiple echo, which allows the reconstruction of the te...
