چکیده

In this paper, we study approximate and exact controllability of the linear difference equation x(t) = ∑Nj=1A jx(t −Λ j) +Bu(t) in L2, with x(t) ∈ C and u(t) ∈ C, using as a basic tool a representation formula for its solution in terms of the initial condition, the control u, and some suitable matrix coefficients. When Λ1, . . . ,ΛN are commensurable, approximate and exact controllability are equivalent and can be characterized by a Kalman criterion. This paper focuses on providing characterizations of approximate and exact controllability without the commensurability assumption. In the case of two-dimensional systems with two delays, we obtain an explicit characterization of approximate and exact controllability in terms of the parameters of the problem. In the general setting, we prove that approximate controllability from zero to constant states is equivalent to approximate controllability in L2. The corresponding result for exact controllability is true at least for two-dimensional systems with two delays.

Limitations on the Control of Schrödinger Equations

We give the definitions of exact and approximate controllability for linear and nonlinear Schrödinger equations, review fundamental criteria for controllability and revisit a classical “No–go” result for evolution equations due to Ball, Marsden and Slemrod. In Section 2 we prove corresponding results on non– controllability for the linear Schrödinger equation and distributed additive control, a...

We investigate exact enlarged controllability for time fractional diffusion systems of Riemann–Liouville type. The Hilbert uniqueness method is used to prove exact enlarged controllability for both cases of zone and pointwise actuators. A penalization method is given and the minimum energy control is characterized.

Approximate Solution of Linear Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations and Systems of Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations Using Taylor Expansion Method

In this study, a new application of Taylor expansion is considered to estimate the solution of Volterra-Fredholm integral equations (VFIEs) and systems of Volterra-Fredholm integral equations (SVFIEs). Our proposed method is based upon utilizing the nth-order Taylor polynomial of unknown function at an arbitrary point and employing integration method to convert VFIEs into a system of linear equ...

Numerical Methods for Fuzzy Linear Partial Differential Equations under new Definition for Derivative

In this paper difference methods to solve "fuzzy partial differential equations" (FPDE) such as fuzzy hyperbolic and fuzzy parabolic equations are considered. The existence of the solution and stability of the method are examined in detail. Finally examples are presented to show that the Hausdorff  distance between the exact solution and approximate solution tends to zero.

A Successive Numerical Scheme for Some Classes of Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations

In this paper, a reliable iterative approach, for solving a wide range of linear and nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations is established. First the approach considers a discretized form of the integral terms where considering some conditions on the kernel of the integral equation it is proved that solution of the discretized form converges to the exact solution of the problem. Then th...
