The influence of rearing temperature on early embryonic development of Pelophylax nigromaculata
نویسندگان
چکیده
Temperature influenced the developmental rate and survival of embryos of Pelophylax nigromaculata. The total incubation period decreased from 254.07hrs at 18.20 ± 0.49°C and 162.80hrs at 20.87 ± 0.57°C in two experiments. The proportion of normal embryos and survival of eggs until hatching were higher (85.2%) when the eggs were incubated at 20.87 ± 0.57°C. However, death of eggs until hatching has reached 27.2% when the eggs were incubated at 18.20 ± 0.49°C. Therefore, it is appropriate to raise incubation temperature, and fit for enhancing developmental rate and survival of eggs. Also, this information can be valuable for optimizing laboratory culture and facilitating future use of this species as a test organism in toxicity tests.

Effect of rearing temperature on the body shape of Angel fish (Pterophyllum scalare Lichtenstein, 1823) during early development using geometric morphometric method
Temperature as an environmental factor, play important role in fish life. Angel fish (Pterophyllum scalare) is one of the most popular fish species that its production has developed in the ornemental fish industery and there is little information about the effect of rearing temprature in the aquarium. Hence, this study was carried out to investigate the effect of temperature on its body shape...

Background: The larvae of Lucilia sericata are efficiently and widely used in maggot therapy. The aim of this study was to investigate some environmental factors that influence the mass rearing of Lucilia sericata as the most suitable candidates for maggot therapy in Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in fli...

The embryonic development of human lice was evaluated according to the changes in the morphology of the embryo observed through the transparent chorion. Based on ocular and appendage development, three stages of embryogenesis were established: early, medium, and late. Influence of temperature and relative humidity (RH) on the laboratory rearing of Pediculus humanus capitis eggs was assessed. Th...

Effects of salinity on fertilization, embryonic stage, and early larval development and growth performances of short-spined white sea urchin, Salmacis sphaeroides were conducted under a controlled laboratory condition. The experiment was carried out with seven salinity treatments (15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 PSU), each of which was triplicated. Significantly highest fertilization success was ...
