Characterization of Vehicle-to-Vehicle Radio Channels from Measurements at 5.2 GHz

چکیده
The development of efficient vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications systems requires an understanding of the underlying propagation channels. In this paper, we present results on pathloss, power-delay profiles (PDPs), and delay-Doppler spectra from a high speed measurement campaign on a highway in Lund, Sweden. Description of Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure Radio Channel Measurement at 5.2 GHz
This paper presents a description of an extensive vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure channel measurement campaign conducted in the year 2007, in lund, Sweden. We focused on 4 X 4 Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) measurements at a center frequency of 5.2 GHz with high Doppler resolution. One vehicle-to-vehicle measurement data set where the two vehicles are traveling in opposi...
متن کاملSpatial Characterization of Radio Propagation Channel in Urban Vehicle-to-Infrastructure Environments to Support WSNs Deployment
Vehicular ad hoc Networks (VANETs) enable vehicles to communicate with each other as well as with roadside units (RSUs). Although there is a significant research effort in radio channel modeling focused on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), not much work has been done for vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) using 3D ray-tracing tools. This work evaluates some important parameters of a V2I wireless channel l...
متن کاملA BER-Based Partitioned Model for a 2.4GHz Vehicle-to-Vehicle Expressway Channel
Statistical channel models based on BER performance are presented for a frequencyand time-selective vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communications link in an expressway environment in Atlanta, Georgia, where both vehicles traveled in the same direction. The models are developed from measurements taken using the direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technique at 2.45 GHz. A collection of tapped del...
متن کاملStatistical Analysis of Time-Variant Directional Mobile Radio Channels, Based on Wide-Band Measurements
The paper presents results of a multidimensional correlation analysis for time-variant directional mobile radio channels. The study is based on propagation measurements recorded at 5.2 GHz using a wide-band channel sounder together with an 8element uniform linear antenna array. The underlying parametric signal model is described and based on it, different measured scenarios are investigated wit...
متن کاملChannel sounding and indoor radio channel characteristics in the W-band
This work presents directional radio channel measurements in the W-band using a commercial versatile channel sounder based on a vector network analyzer (VNA), capable of measuring scattering parameters from 75 to 500 GHz with frequency converters. The commercial setup has been modified by increasing the distance for one of the converters using precision coaxial cables and avoiding the use of am...
