Thermal hysteresis in low-frequency noise of La0.7Sr0.3Mn0.92Fe0.08O3 thin films at low magnetic field

چکیده
The low-frequency 1/f voltage noise of epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3Mn0.92Fe0.08O3 thin films has been studied as a function of temperature (80–300 K) and magnetic field (up to 1500 G). It is found that the noise power spectral density (PSD) shows a peak at T ≈ 238 K which coincides with the peak temperature of the resistivity, and is below the Curie temperature. When a small magnetic field of 1500 G is applied, the noise PSD shows a large thermal hysteresis and changes with the magnetic history. This thermal hysteresis, lacking at B = 0, is distinctively different from other reported results on manganites without Mnsite doping. The origin of the noise peak at B = 0 is analysed on the basis of the magnetic fluctuation, and the scaling analysis of the normalized noise PSD is consistent with a three-dimensional random-void percolation model. The thermal hysteresis of the noise PSD further supports the assertions of a contribution from magnetic fluctuations and of a spin-dependent conduction process in Fe-doped colossal-magnetoresistance materials.

Low-frequency noise in La0.7Sr0.3Mn1−xFexO3 thin films
The low-frequency noise in epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3Mn1−x FexO3 thin films with x = 0, 0.08 and 0.12 has been studied as a function of magnetic field (up to 1500 G). At zero external magnetic field (B = 0 G), there is no appreciable peak in the normalized noise power spectral density (PSD) for x = 0 thin films; however, a peak does appear for x = 0.08 and 0.12 thin films near the metal– insulator tr...
متن کاملMechanism for nonequilibrium symmetry breaking and pattern formation in magnetic films.
Magnetic thin films exhibit a strong variation in properties depending on their degree of disorder. Recent coherent x-ray speckle experiments on magnetic films have measured the loss of correlation between configurations at opposite fields and at the same field, upon repeated field cycling. We perform finite temperature numerical simulations on these systems that provide a comprehensive explana...
متن کاملLow-frequency magnetic and resistance noise in magnetic tunnel junctions
We have studied the voltage fluctuations of current-biased, micron-scale magnetic tunnel junctions. We find that the spectral power density is 1/f -like at low frequencies and becomes frequency independent at high frequencies. The frequency-independent background noise is due to Johnson-Nyquist noise and shot noise mechanisms. The nature of the 1/f noise has its origin in two different mechanis...

In this study, nine Nd-Fe-B and FeCe thin films with 10-50 nanometers width were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering on the Si/SiO2 substrate. Then, the films were annealed at 800 oC for 5 sec in rapid thermal annealing furnace. X-ray diffractometry (XRD) was used to analyze the phase composition of layers and existance of Nd2F14 and Fe65Co35 phase was confirmed, without formation of any o...

We developed a new method of fabricating a divalent copper ion (Cu(2+)) modified DNA thin film on a glass substrate and studied its magnetic properties. We evaluated the coercive field (Hc), remanent magnetization (Mr), susceptibility (χ), and thermal variation of magnetization with varying Cu(2+) concentrations [Cu(2+)] resulting in DNA thin films. Although thickness of the two dimensional DNA...
