Closure Properties in the Class of Multiple Context Free Groups
نویسندگان
چکیده
We show that the class of groups with k-multiple context free word problem is closed under amalgamated free products over finite subgroups. We also show that the intersection of two context free languages need not be multiple context free.

Church-Rosser Groups and Growing Context-Sensitive Groups
A finitely generated group is called a Church-Rosser group (growing contextsensitive group) if it admits a finitely generated presentation for which the word problem is a Church-Rosser (growing context-sensitive) language. Although the ChurchRosser languages are incomparable to the context-free languages under set inclusion, they strictly contain the class of deterministic context-free language...
متن کاملLinear v{C}ech closure spaces
In this paper, we introduce the concept of linear v{C}ech closure spaces and establish the properties of open sets in linear v{C}ech closure spaces (Lv{C}CS). Here, we observe that the concept of linearity is preserved by semi-open sets, g-semi open sets, $gamma$-open sets, sgc-dense sets and compact sets in Lv{C}CS. We also discuss the concept of relative v{C}ech closure operator, meet and pro...
متن کاملA dynamical definition of f.g. virtually free groups
We show that the class of finitely generated virtually free groups is precisely the class of demonstrable subgroups for R. Thompson’s group V . The class of demonstrable groups for V consists of all groups which can embed into V with a natural dynamical behaviour in their induced actions on the Cantor space C2 := {0, 1}. There are also connections with formal language theory, as the class of gr...
متن کاملClosure properties of linear context-free tree languages with an application to optimality theory
Context-free tree grammars, originally introduced by Rounds (1970a), are powerful grammar devices for the definition of tree languages. The properties of the class of context-free tree languages have been studied for more than three decades now. Particularly important here is the work by Engelfriet and Schmidt (1977, 1978). In the present paper, we consider a subclass of the class of context-fr...
متن کاملSome remarks on arbitrary multiple pattern interpretations
A word w is obtained by an arbitrary n-pattern interpretation of a word x if there are n homomorphisms h1, h2, . . . , hn and a positive integer k such that w = hi1(x)hi2 (x) · · ·hik (x) with 1 ≤ ij ≤ n for all 1 ≤ j ≤ k. This arbitrary multiple pattern interpretation of words is naturally extended to languages. We investigate some closure properties of the families of languages obtained by ar...
