چکیده
Erratum: Equation (22) contains an error. It should read 100 ɛ(t, 0 °C) = 8.79 × 10 −4 t + 0.805 × 10 −7 t 2. (22) Also, the data presented in Table 12 under the column Day and Sosman Eq. (22) should be evaluated by using the corrected Eq. (22) above.

Metal alloys consisting of a platinum group metal—ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium or platinum—and one or more transition metals are important for catalytic reactions in automobiles, chemistry, and petroleum production. In addition, many of the alloys used in aeronautics and electronics contain platinum group metals. Alloys beyond those currently used in these industries could be ...

متن کاملHigh Temperature Mechanical Properties of the Platinum Group Metals ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF PLATINUM, RHODIUM AND IRIDIUM AND THEIR ALLOYS AT HIGH TEMPERATURES
The platinum group metals are well suited for use at extremely high temperatures under mechanical loads and simultaneous corrosive attack. They have high melting points, excellent chemical stability and are highly resistant to oxidation. When using these materials in the design of components it is necessary to have data available on their elastic properties as a function of temperature. In this...
متن کاملTracking the shape-dependent sintering of platinum–rhodium model catalysts under operando conditions
Nanoparticle sintering during catalytic reactions is a major cause for catalyst deactivation. Understanding its atomic-scale processes and finding strategies to reduce it is of paramount scientific and economic interest. Here, we report on the composition-dependent three-dimensional restructuring of epitaxial platinum-rhodium alloy nanoparticles on alumina during carbon monoxide oxidation at 55...
