چکیده

{ Wavefront correction by adaptive optics is often only partial and the image of a point-like source consists of a coherent peak superposed on a diiuse halo. If the point-spread function (PSF) is known, the object can be restored by deconvolution techniques. This PSF depends, however, strongly on atmospheric conditions which are variable and on the wavefront sensor reference source. For this reason, the image of a point-like source does not always t well the PSF at the time of the object acquisition. It is thus important to estimate the PSF simultaneously with the observation of the object. Recently, we have reported on our rst results of PSF reconstruction on a bright reference source, observed with the adaptive optics system ADONIS. We now present results on faint reference sources observed under bad seeing conditions. We discuss the limits of the reconstruction method for both cases and nd that a variable residual aberration which we interpret in terms of a local turbulence can at least partly explain the error on the PSF reconstruction. From simulations, we studied the conservation of the ux ratio of double systems when using the reconstructed PSF as calibrator in deconvolution. It is shown that for ux ratios up to 2 the mean relative error on the ux ratio estimate is about 2-3%, while it is about 7% for ux ratios of 4 and 25% for higher ux ratios. The same errors are found, when using the image of a point-like source observed 30 min later as PSF calibrator.

Objective(s): We evaluated edge artifacts in relation to phantom diameter and reconstruction parameters in point spread function (PSF)-based positron emission tomography (PET) image reconstruction. Methods: PET data were acquired from an original cone-shaped phantom filled with 18F solution (21.9 kBq/mL) for 10 min using a Biograph mCT scanner. The images were reconstructed using the baseline or...

Evaluation of the Effect of Tumor Position on Standardized Uptake Value Using Time-of-Flight Reconstruction and Point Spread Function

Objective(s): The present study was conducted to examine whether the standardized uptake value (SUV) may be affected by the spatial position of a lesion in the radial direction on positron emission tomography (PET) images, obtained via two methods based on time-of-flight (TOF) reconstruction and point spread function (PSF). Methods: A cylinder phantom with the sphere (30mm diameter), located in...

Constraining the Adaptive Optics Point-Spread Function in Crowded Fields: Measuring Photometric Aperture Corrections

The point-spread function (PSF) of an adaptive optics (AO) system is often poorly known. This ignorance can lead to significant systematic errors. Since the degree of AO correction is sensitive to the observing conditions: seeing, wind speed, brightness of the wavefront reference, etc., it would be desirable to estimate the PSF from the data themselves rather than from observations of a PSF sta...

بررسی تاثیر کرنل های مختلف بازسازی تصویر بر روی نویز و رزولوشن فضایی تصاویر سی تی اسکن: مطالعه بر روی فانتوم

Introduction: Noise and spatial resolution (SR) are the main characteristics of image quality in CT scanning affected by different radiation and technical parameters. One of the important parameters are reconstruction kernels. Different reconstruction kernels are used for noise reduction and/or edge-enhancement purposes. In this study, we investigate some reconstruction kern...

Target detection Bridge Modelling using Point Cloud Segmentation Obtained from Photogrameric UAV

In recent years, great efforts have been made to generate 3D models of urban structures in photogrammetry and remote sensing. 3D reconstruction of the bridge, as one of the most important urban structures in transportation systems, has been neglected because of its geometric and structural complexity. Due to the UAV technology development in spatial data acquisition, in this study, the point cl...
