Recipient S-CSCF Assured (RSA) Session Transfer for IMS based NGN
نویسندگان
چکیده
(UAC) like characteristics of an S-CSCF. To show its efficiency, the session transfer delay and the traffic cost of RSA session transfer are investigated and compared with those of existing session transfer applications, including Assured and Consultative session transfers, by practically considering multiple session transfer failures. It is shown that RSA session transfer can further improve user experience by reducing session transfer delay as well as traffic cost than Assured and Consultative session transfers.

IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network is considered as an NGN (Next Generation Network) core networks by ETSI. Decomposition of IMS core network has resulted in a rapid increase of control and signaling message that makes security a required capability for IMS commercialization. The control messages are transmitted using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which is an application layer protocol. ...
متن کاملA linear chained approach for service invocation in IP Multimedia Subsystem
IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is considered to provide multimedia services to users through an IP-based control plane. The current IMS service invocation mechanism, however , requires the Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) invokes each Application Server (AS) sequentially to perform service subscription profile, which results in the heavy load of the S-CSCF and the long session setu...

IMS is well integrated with existing voice and data networks, while adopting many of their key characteristics. The Call Session Control Functions (CSCFs) servers are the key part of the IMS structure. They are the main components responsible for processing and routing signalling messages. When CSCFs servers (P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF) are running on the same host, the SIP message can be internall...
متن کاملFast and Secure Session Mobility in IMS-based Vertical Handover Scenario
In this paper, the make-before-break handover method is basically considered in order to reduce the SIP (session initiation protocol) session restoration delay due to the interface switching during WiFi-to-3G vertical handover under IMS (IP multimedia subsystem). Actually, the session restoration delay in WiFi-to-3G handover scenario can be dramatically reduced by performing IMS registration an...
متن کاملA Caching Scheme for Session Setup in IMS Network
In IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the session setup delay is a critical value for Quality of Service (QoS). The existing approaches to improve this metric depend on optimization of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message transmitting and signaling flows. Unfortunately, some service features are missing considered although they have been used widely in traditional 2G networks. This paper propo...
