Primary osteogenic sarcoma of the calvaria.

چکیده
Osteogenic sarcoma of the skull is rare [1-7], particularly as a primary development in the later decades of life without associated Paget disease or history of irradiation. Because of the paucity of cases, the radiologic findings of calvarial osteogenic sarcoma have not been described in detail. Previous reports have dealt mainly with plain skull radiographs for the diagnosis of this tumor before biopsy. We present two cases of primary osteogenic sarcoma of the calvaria in 11and 71year-old patients who did not have predisposing conditions. They illustrate characteristic neuroradiologic findings which we believe could provide accurate preoperative diagnosis and guide surgical management of these tumors.

متن کاملMorphological and biochemical characterization of four clonal osteogenic sarcoma cell lines of rat origin.
The ultrastructural and biochemical properties of four clonal osteogenic sarcoma lines, UMR 104, 105, 106, and 108, have been compared with uncloned osteogenic sarcoma cells and normal osteoblast-rich cells derived from newborn rat calvaria. High alkaline phosphatase activity and activation of adenylate cyclase by parathyroid hormone were used as biochemical markers of osteoblastic cells. Cloni...
