چکیده

● Diesel Filter Regeneration Abstract: Diesel particulate filters capture particle emissions through a combination of surface-type and deep-bed filtration mechanisms, such as diffusional deposition, inertial d positi , or flow-line interception. Collected particulates are removed from the filter, continuously or periodically, through thermal regeneration. Diesel filters are very effective in controlling the solid part of PM emission, but maybe ineffective in controlling non-solid particulate fractions. Filters have been commercialized for selected retrofit applications and are on the verge of commercialization for highway lightand heavy-duty diesel engines.

Di̇zel Motorlarinda Parti̇kül Madde Emi̇syon Kontrolu Ve Geli̇şmeler Particulate Matter Emission Control in Diesel Engines and Developments

The high efficiency of diesel engines, their low operating costs, high durability and reliability have provided them with a leadership role in the heavy-duty vehicle market. Recently, diesel engines also achieved a growing share of the light-duty vehicle market, especially in those areas where fuel costs are high. This trend of growth of the diesel market requires a careful evaluation of the re...

Performance of Four Class 95 Electret Filters Against Diesel Particulate Matter

his study was done to assess performance of four Class 95 respirator filters exposed to diesel engine exhaust. NIOSH-certified electret filters from two manufacturers were used. N95 filters from each manufacturer were tested. P95 and R95 filters from Manufacturer X and Y, respectively, were also tested. Only R and P series filters are typically recommended for diesel exposures. Prior to diesel ...

Ash Impacts on Gasoline Particulate Filter Performance and Service Life by Nicholas

New regulations in the United States and Europe, designed to address climate change concerns by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, are causing increased use of gasoline direct-injection (GDI) engines in light-duty vehicles (LDV). Separate new regulations that aim to reduce particulate emissions to address air pollution concerns are taking effect concurrent with greenhouse gas limitations in bot...

Comparative Study of Different Methods for Soot Sensing and Filter Monitoring in Diesel Exhausts

Due to increasingly tighter emission limits for diesel and gasoline engines, especially concerning particulate matter emissions, particulate filters are becoming indispensable devices for exhaust gas after treatment. Thereby, for an efficient engine and filter control strategy and a cost-efficient filter design, reliable technologies to determine the soot load of the filters and to measure part...

A 2-D Diesel Particulate Regeneration Model

Diesel particulate filter (DPF) has been widely applied as the efficient way to reduce the soot emissions from diesel engines. The oxidation of the accumulated soot layer in the particulate filter, known as DPF regeneration, plays a crucial role in the diesel engine operation. It is important to understand the characteristics and fundamentals of this process. A 2D timedependent diesel particula...
