چکیده

The task of green space allocation in urban areas consists of identifying a suitable site for allocating green areas. In this proposition paper we discuss about a number of factors like crowdedness, design, distribution and size that could discourage inhabitants to visit a certain green urban area. We plan to cluster our urban residents into several population segments using an Agent-Based Model and study the system in different predefined scenarios. The overall objective of this work is to provide spatial guidance to planners, policymakers and other stakeholders, and shed light on potential policy conflicts among standard policy criteria and user preferences. We will evaluate this potential within a targeted stakeholder workshop.

Green Space Suitability Analysis Using Evolutionary Algorithm and Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) Method

With current new urban developments, no balance can be found between green spaces and open areas present within urban networks and natural land patterns since urban networks are dominating ecological networks. Accordingly, one of the major tasks of urban and regional planners is the optimal land use allocation to urban green spaces. Therefore, to achieve this goal in this research, locations of...

Behaviour and space in agent-based modelling: Poverty patterns in East Kalimantan, Indonesia

Applied models of policy interventions are increasingly expected to consider households’ responses to these interventions, which makes agent-based modelling popular in applied policy situations. Implementing an adequate level of agent heterogeneity and mapping it into a spatial environment are critical factors of such applied modelling. However, policy applications demand the characterisation a...

Evacuation Simulation through Formal Emotional Agent based Modelling

Evacuation Simulation is recognised as an important tool for assessing design choices for urban areas. Although a number of approaches have been introduced, it is widely acceptable that such simulation scenarios demand modelling of emotional aspects of evacuees, and how these affect their behaviour. The present work, proposes that formal agent modelling based on eX-machines can rigorously defin...

طراحی مدل‌ عامل‌محور و کاربرد آن در باستان‌شناسی

The aim of this paper is to consider what constitutes agent-based modelling (ABM) and how this can relate to archaeological reasoning. The development and construction of ABM models is an essential prerequisite for most archaeological reasoning. Both directly and indirectly, archaeologists are making extensive use of ideas and methods in applications that derive from archaeological, anthropolog...

Urban Vegetation Recognition Based on the Decision Level Fusion of Hyperspectral and Lidar Data

Introduction: Information about vegetation cover and their health has always been interesting to ecologists due to its importance in terms of habitat, energy production and other important characteristics of plants on the earth planet. Nowadays, developments in remote sensing technologies caused more remotely sensed data accessible to researchers. The combination of these data improves the obje...
