Proving the equivalence of Action-GDL and DPOP

چکیده
Distributed Constraint Optimization Problems (DCOPs) are a general framework that can model a large class of Multi-agent Coordination Problems (MCPs). We propose a novel message-passing algorithm, the so-called Action-GDL, as an extension to the Generalized Distributive Law algorithm to efficiently solve MCPs. We show the generality of Action-GDL by proving that it has DPOP, the low-complexity, state-ofthe-art algorithm to solve DCOPs, as a particular case. Finally, we provide empirical evidences to illustrate that Action-GDL can outperform DPOP in terms of computation, communication and parallelism.

Generalizing DPOP: Action-GDL, a new complete algorithm for DCOPs
In this paper we made three main contributions (fully detailed in [5]). Firstly, we formulate a new algorithm, the so-called Action-GDL, that takes inspiration from GDL [1], extending and applying it to Distributed Constraint Optimization Problems (DCOPs). Secondly, we show the generality of Action-GDL showing how it generalizes DPOP[4], one of the low complexity, state-of-the-art algorithm to ...
متن کاملResource-aware junction trees for efficient multi-agent coordination
In this paper we address efficient decentralised coordination of cooperative multi-agent systems by taking into account the actual computation and communication capabilities of the agents. We consider coordination problems that can be framed as Distributed Constraint Optimisation Problems, and as such, are suitable to be deployed on large scale multi-agent systems such as sensor networks or mul...
متن کاملSignature submanifolds for some equivalence problems
This article concerned on the study of signature submanifolds for curves under Lie group actions SE(2), SA(2) and for surfaces under SE(3). Signature submanifold is a regular submanifold which its coordinate components are differential invariants of an associated manifold under Lie group action, and therefore signature submanifold is a key for solving equivalence problems.
متن کاملGDL-III: A Description Language for Epistemic General Game Playing
GDL-III, a description language for general game playing with imperfect information and introspection, supports the specification of epistemic games. These are characterised by rules that depend on the knowledge of players. GDL-III provides a simpler language for representing actions and knowledge than existing formalisms: domain descriptions require neither explicit axioms about the epistemic ...
متن کاملTwo Interpretative Analyses of the Verses on Reasoning and Thinking in Proving Thinking-Orientedness of the Educational Model of the Holy Qur'an
In the scientific and cultural literature, the term "education" includes all the aspects and components of a process that provides the ground for the conscious and voluntary transformation of mankind. Based on the Islamic viewpoint, this concept includes all actions and measures, including correction, purification, teaching and admonition, which must be carefully and coherently organized in a s...
