User Experience and Social Attribution for an Embodied Spoken Dialog System

A public information system with an Embodied Conversational Agent is evaluated in a laboratory setting concerning Social Actorship, Social Acceptance, perceived Control, Pragmatic Quality and Hedonic Qualities. Results show a positive experience for Pragmatic Quality and Control, but negative ratings for Social Acceptance. Di↵erentiating these various aspects of User Experience has proven to be fruitful for this summative evaluation, especially considering the potential public situation of interaction.
