Recent Trends of Information Technology Education in China

چکیده
The 21 century is described as the Information Age. To meet the increasing demands of social development, a lot of challenges to develop information technology (IT) education have been carried out in China. This study deals with the main efforts such as the construction of wideband education network, modern web-based distance education, teacher IT training, national collegiate IT education contests, Internet Manners and Culture Project and so on. All these are expected to play an effective role in speeding up the application of IT in education, promoting quality education, carrying out the strategy for revitalizing the nation through spreading knowledge about science and technology, and further deepening the educational reform in China.
