چکیده

The time evolution of pseudorapidity distributions of produced charged hadrons in d+Au collisions at √ sNN = 200 GeV is investigated. Results of a nonequilibrium-statistical Relativistic Diffusion Model with three sources are compared with a macroscopic ”bounce back” model that does not allow for statistical equilibration at large times, but instead leads to motion reversal. When compared to the data, the results of the diffusion approach are more precise, thus emphasizing that the system is observed to be on its way to thermal equilibrium. pi -N correlations probe the nuclear equation of state in relativistic heavy-ion collisions.

We investigate the sensitivity of pionic bounce{oo and squeeze{out on the density and momentum dependence of the real part of the nucleon optical potential. For the in{plane pion bounce{oo we nd a strong sensitivity on both the density and momentum dependence whereas the out{of{plane pion squeeze{out shows a strong sensitivity only towards the momentum dependence but little sensitivity towards ...

Squeezed Fermions at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider

Large back-to-back correlations of observable fermion – anti-fermion pairs are predicted to appear, if the mass of the fermions is modified in a thermalized medium. The back-to-back correlations of protons and anti-protons are experimentally observable in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions, similarly to the Andreev reflection of electrons off the boundary of a superconductor. Surprisingly,...

Hadron production in heavy relativistic systems

We investigate particle production in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC energies as function of incident energy, and centrality in a three-sources Relativistic Diffusion Model. Pseudorapidity distributions of produced charged hadrons in Au + Au and Cu + Cu collisions at √ sNN = 19.6 GeV, 62.4 GeV, 130 GeV and 200 GeV show an almost equilibrated midrapidity source that tends to increase in size towar...

Coherent photon-photon interactions in very peripheral relativistic heavy ion collisions

Heavy ions at high velocities provide very strong electromagnetic fields for a very short time. The main characteristics of ultraperipheral relativistic heavy ion collisions are reviewed, characteristic parameters are identified. The main interest in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions at relativistic ion colliders like the LHC is the interactions of very high energy (equivalent) photons with ...
