Teaching Virtual Experts for Multi-Domain Collaborative Planning
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents an approach to rapid development of virtual planning experts that can collaborate to develop plans of action requiring expertise from multiple domains. The approach is implemented into a new type of software tool, called Disciple-VPT, which includes an extensible library of virtual planning experts from different domains. Teams of such virtual experts can be rapidly assembled from the library to generate complex plans of actions that require their joint expertise. The basic component of the Disciple-VPT tool is the Disciple-VE learning agent shell that can be taught directly by a subject matter expert how to plan, trough planning examples and explanations, in a way that is similar to how the expert would teach an apprentice. Copies of the Disciple-VE shells are used by experts in different domains to rapidly populate the library of virtual experts of Disciple-VPT.

متن کاملManaging the managers: Collaborative virtual teams with large staff and student numbers
Virtual teaming involving online presentations and peer reviews support the notion of collaborative student learning, whilst preparing them for the virtual work environment. However, implementation and administration of such teams, particularly when constraints include large numbers of multi-cultural students, within a complex multi-campus structure, needs careful planning and management. This ...
متن کاملAn Overview on Collaborative Augmented Reality Environment Potentials in Urban Planning
This paper describes an augmented reality (AR) environment that allows multiple participants or multi-user to interact with 2D and 3D data. AR simply can provide a collaborative interactive AR environment for urban planning, where users can interact naturally and intuitively. In addition, the collaborative AR makes participants in urban planning to share simultaneously a real world and virtual ...
متن کاملA Virtual Collaborative Environment for Archaeology through Multi-user Domain in the Web
The VHLab of CNR-ITABC is developing new research projects oriented to virtual archaeology and to the study and communication of cultural heritage through multi-user virtual reality applications (off and on line). The state of art in this field is still quite pioneering, because there are no multi-user domains (MuD) for sharing and exchanging cultural and scientific contents, in the field of vi...
