A study about posterior pituitary hormone inactivation of toxemic serum of late pregnancy.

Discussions of causative relation between toxemias of late pregnancy and posterior pituitary hormone (PPH) are already time-honored, and Kustner,l) Anselmino-Hoffmann,2) and others have made great contribu tions in these parts. In 1933, Kustner1) had performed an anterior hysterotomy on a typical pre-eclampsia and at that time a slow intravenous injection of Orasthin not only gave her rise to eclamptic fits, but also after the operation her blood pressure had increased about 20mm.
