چکیده
CliniCal MediCine insights: PediatriCs 2016:10 In mid-2015 it was brought to our attention that an article published in 2009,1 Surgery for idiopathic scoliosis: currently applied techniques, Clinical Medicine: Pediatrics 2009;3:39–44, contained redundancies when compared with an earlier article published in Scoliosis,2 titled Surgical treatment of scoliosis: a review of techniques currently applied, Scoliosis 2008;3:6, doi: 10.1186/1748-7161-3-6. The later article published in Clinical Medicine: Pediatrics neither mentioned nor referenced the earlier published work. Following this notification the editor in chief investigated the matter in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on duplicate publication. On the basis of a careful consideration of the various criteria provided by the COPE guidelines, the editor in chief has determined that publication of this notice of redundant publication is the best course of action. The editor in chief acknowledges the prompt cooperation of the authors in addressing this matter.
