چکیده
neck pain for several months. Radiography revealed a mass in the posterior aspect of the left side of the neck. Open biopsy after computed tomography revealed an aneurysmal bone cyst. Examination by a team comprising general, orthopedic and spinal surgeons with an interest in surgical oncology, found a full range of motion in the cervical spine. Muscle bulk was symmetrically distributed and tone was normal. Formal motor testing revealed grade 5/5 strength in all muscle groups of both arms and legs. The deep tendon reflexes were symmetrically 2/4, and the patient was neurologically intact to light touch. Coordination and gait were normal. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a multilobulated enhancing mass involving the left side of the vertebral body of C3, extending posteriorly through the pedicle and infiltrating the C2–3 facet joint as well as the lamina and spinous processes bilaterally at C2 and C3 (Fig. 1). Computed tomography detailed the erosive nature of the tumour (Fig. 2). Along its course the tumour also encased the left verteSurgical Images Imagier chirurgical

Aneurysmal bone cyst of the cervical spine.
A 7-year-old boy presented to the neurosurgery clinic with neck pain. There was no history of surgery and trauma. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed cystic mass that contained internal septation and fluid-fluid levels at C3 level (Figs. 1 and 2). C3 vertebral body was destructed. Right vertebral artery was surrounded with cystic mass. The cystic mass was hyperintense on T2-weighted images and ...
متن کامل[Selective Arterial Embolization for a Large Pelvic Aneurysmal Bone Cyst Treatment].
Aneurysmal bone cysts are benign musculoskeletal tumours, which occur in young patients and, occasionally, with aggressive behaviour. Those tumours very often will need surgical treatment with curettage and bone grafting, but for aggressive lesions, inbloc resection is more advisable. Aggressive tumours use to be large and sometimes with difficult surgical approach and demanding complex surgica...

Although aneurysmal bone cysts and calcifying odontogenic cysts accompanied with other lesions are reported in the literature, the simultaneous occurrence of these two distinct lesions has not been reported. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report describing co-occurrence of these two lesions located in the left mandibular ramusin a 36-year-old woman.

In this article, we present a 19-year- old woman with the complaint of swelling in the left mandibular premolar tooth. She had got antibiotic therapy after the diagnosis of dental cellulites. On the X-ray study, a well- defined unilocular bony lesion within the preapical premolar tooth...

Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a benign expansile bone tumor, most commonly involving the medulla of long bones. ABC rarely arises within the cortex or in the subperiosteal region, radiographically mimicking other conditions, in particular surface osteosarcomathat is low-grade in nature and may go secondary ABC changes, and telangiectatic osteosarcoma. Both of these are sometimes mistaken mic...
