چکیده

This paper describes a possible organization of the ATLAS read-out system. It is based on the ROB Complex concept which assumes that a read-out unit is formed by several input buffer modules sharing a network interface to a common Trigger/DAQ data collection network. An implementation of such ROB Complex is presented, which is based on a PCI bus connecting readout buffers, control processor and a network interface card. Total number of required ROB Complexes, as well as the number of CompactPCI crates housing them are estimated. The results obtained from measurements on the ROB Complex prototype integrated in the ATLAS Level 2 Trigger ATM Testbed are given. The feasibility of data preprocessing within the ROB Complex is shown.

A colour atlas of clinical genetics.

Let's read! We will often find out this sentence everywhere. When still being a kid, mom used to order us to always read, so did the teacher. Some books are fully read in a week and we need the obligation to support reading. What about now? Do you still love reading? Is reading only for you who have obligation? Absolutely not! We here offer you a new book enPDFd a colour atlas of clinical genet...

Comparison of state-of-the-art atlas-based bone segmentation approaches from brain MR images for MR-only radiation planning and PET/MR attenuation correction

Introduction: Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging has emerged as a valuable tool in radiation treatment (RT) planning as well as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging owing to its superior soft-tissue contrast. Due to the fact that there is no direct transformation from voxel intensity in MR images into electron density, itchr('39')s crucial to generate a pseudo-CT (Computed Tomography) image ...

Performance Measurements of a microEnable RobIn

This document describes the use of the FPGA coprocessor microEnable as Read Out Buffer (ROB) hardware for the trigger system of the Atlas detector. It shows with performance measurements the possibilities of FPGA hardware to buffer and manipulate data received from the detector very fast. It points out that FPGA hardware can be used successfully in the Atlas trigger environment.

Layout VERSION 1 for the Early separation scheme in ATLAS

In this work we present a first version of a possible integration of the Early Separation Scheme in the ATLAS detector. We show that the magnets requirements, due to the integrated magnetic field requested and to the available space, can be met by NbTi based dipoles cooled at 1.9 K. We also carried out a preliminary energy deposition study: the expected heat loads are, using an appropriate shie...

Development of a read out driver for ATLAS micromegas based on the Scalable Readout System

With future LHC luminosity upgrades, part of the ATLAS muon spectrometer has to be changed, to cope with the increased flux of uncorrelated neutron and gamma particles. Micromegas detectors were chosen as precision tracker for the New Small Wheels, that will replace the current Small Wheel muon detector stations during the LHC shutdown foreseen for 2018. To read out these detectors together wit...
