the ventricles may slow down. This ensures better myocardial circulation and in course of time helps the auricles to recover as well. The effect of digitalis in such cases for the time is immediate, but the ultimate prognosis depends upon the myocardial condition. The dose of digitalis varies in different cases, but it may be remembered that in cases of fibrillation, it has to be pushed to the physiological limit. Out of 5 cases, the following case in which as much as 1110th grain of digitalin by injection and dr. 1 of digifortis (Parke, Davis and Co.) had to be administered per diem, will illustrate the above statement.
